Cultural Arts Passport

5On June 15, 2022, LAUSD presented the Cultural Arts Passport Plan as part of the 100-Day Plan report. LAUSD’s Cultural Arts Passport program is an innovative educational initiative designed to provide students in grades K-12 with a variety of cultural experiences.

In partnership with Southern California’s finest cultural organizations and venues, this program ensures equal access to arts and culture for every child, many of whom would not otherwise have this breadth of opportunities. The CAP provides opportunities for students to engage in experiential learning with different cultural institutions throughout the diverse Los Angeles community. Cultural experiences are far more meaningful when students see a strong link between the field trip and the instruction they receive in the classroom.

Through cultural field trips, professional development for teachers and interdisciplinary classroom instruction, students make connections between the arts and non-arts disciplines while developing literacy, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.  Click here for more information

Wellbeing Center
1The Wellbeing Center (WBC) is a student space. It is a nonjudgmental, confidential, safe, warm and welcoming place to drop by, relax, ask health-related questions (and receive medically accurate answers) and simply be free to be. Every Hamilton student is welcome! At the WBC, you will find caring Health Educators to support you with reproductive and sexual health related concerns, mental health needs (stress, healthy relationships, meditation...), and substance use and prevention care. We also offer a leadership opportunity called the Peer Health Advocate Program. Come in and ask us about it!   Click here for more information
